Mission Statement

The mission of WVSU and WVSCTC Chapter of Ethiopian Student Association (ESA) is to introduce the Ethiopian culture to the student body, faculty and the community members. The organization will emphasize cooperative learning and information exchange with other organizations on campus and in the community. This organization will help members and interested students in their quest for higher education and broadened international perspectives by offering projects that will draw on such subjects. The organization will give members an opportunity to get leadership skills and a chance to do local and international community service. The organization will act as a support group to members while meeting their academic goals. It is the organization’s goal to facilitate students in Ethiopia in various ways. The association fully intends to exemplify the goal of WVSU in diversity, educational excellence and human relations. Ultimately, the association hopes to maximize the student experience and insure members strive to help less fortunate members of the global community.
